Location
Current-location weather needs Location When In Use. If you previously denied it, open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Insight Weather, and choose While Using the App. You can also search for any city without GPS.
Home screen widget
In the app’s settings, pick Current Location or a starred favorite. The widget refreshes from the last successful load for that place. If it looks stale, open the app, load that location, then return to the Home Screen.
Units and appearance
Fahrenheit/Celsius and Light/Dark/System live in Settings inside the app. Widget temperature follows the same unit preference via the shared App Group.
Forecast sources
Official U.S. text products and many grids come from the National Weather Service. Current conditions and some hourly/minute data may come from Apple WeatherKit. Model comparison charts use Open-Meteo. Air quality uses AirNow. Coverage and update cadence depend on those services — NWS products are strongest in the United States.
Alerts
Hazard banners reflect active NWS alerts for the selected point. This app is not a replacement for Wireless Emergency Alerts or a NOAA weather radio.
